1. Traxon (finally) spins off ams OSRAM
Nearly 7 months ago, ams OSRAM announced that it agreed to sell Traxon (and controls platform e:cue) to Hong-Kong based lighting and industrial holding company, Prosperity Group. Today, that acquisition has closed, shedding yet another legacy lighting asset from ams OSRAM’s brand portfolio.
The company has unveiled a new logo and new website – along with a completely new web domain.

2. Check out the List of Largest U.S. Construction Projects
A new report shows the top 10 major upcoming Private and Government Office Building construction projects in the U.S. They are all in the planning stage and are mainly new projects, but may also involve additions and/or renovations.
Top three private projects are multi-billion dollar projects in Colorado, Missouri and California.
Top three government projects are multi-billion dollar projects in Minnesota, Kansas and…. Kansas.
3. RAB Lighting faces legal headache
RAB Lighting has joined a long list of 20 companies who have been sued during the last year by a Texas-based company called Swirlate IP, LLC.
The plaintiff alleges that the RAB Lightcloud Gateway 4G utilizes Swirlate’s patented transmission techniques in wireless communication systems. Swirlate is a Non Practicing Entity (NPE) that seemingly does not make any products of its own, but is asserting its intellectual property claims against all of these companies since November 2021.

4. Energy Focus receives another Nasdaq delisting notice
In August Ohio-based lighting maker, Energy Focus, received a Notice of Delisting from The Nasdaq Stock Market relating to its sub-one-dollar stock price.
In recent weeks, Energy Focus has received another written notification from the Listing Qualifications staff of The Nasdaq Stock Market stating that the company is not in compliance with the minimum stockholders’ equity requirement for continued listing on the Nasdaq Capital Market. Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(b)(1) requires listed companies to maintain stockholders’ equity of at least $2,500,000. The company’s Form 10-Q for the Quarterly Period Ended September 30, 2022 filed on November 10, 2022 reflected that the company’s stockholders’ equity as of September 30, 2022 was $1,526,000.
5. Manufacturing index drops to weakest level since May 2020
U.S. manufacturing activity contracted for the first time in 2-1/2 years in November as higher borrowing costs weighed on demand for goods, but a measure of prices paid by factories for inputs fell for a second straight month, supporting views that inflation could continue trending lower.
