Representation of Lutron, Current GLI and numerous independent lighting brands bolstered by newly combined statewide agency

The North Carolina market is undergoing another shift in commercial and industrial lighting representation as three longtime agents have merged to form one larger, statewide agency.

Coresential Lighting and Controls, EGI Associates, and Quality Lighting Solutions have joined forces to become Affiliated Lighting + Controls.

Prior to the merger, EGI Associates covered Western North Carolina markets of Greensboro, Charlotte and Ashville while Quality Lighting Solutions’ territory was the eastern part of the state including Raleigh, Durham and Wilmington. In February, both agencies ceased representing the Genlyte Solutions family of brands, as those lines shifted to a new market entrant, multi-state lighting agency, SESCO Lighting.

Coresential has long been a North Carolina agency, but also covers South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and the Caribbean for numerous lighting and electrical manufacturers. In January 2019, the agency merged with the statewide Lutron agent, Carolina Controls Group. Coresential’s North Carolina presence has few electrical commodity lines and is more heavily weighted toward lighting and controls products highlighted by  Lutron, Current GLI Brands and some economical, contractor-focused lighting brands.
