1. WAC files new lawsuit
WAC Lighting has filed a patent infringement lawsuit vs. Scadlock, Inc. d/b/a One Products and Promounts. WAC alleges that the defendant has violated a patent related to a fan control, thus violating United States Patent No. 11,028,854 "Methods and Apparatus for Controlling Fan Devices.”
2. Elliott Electric Supply buys Kansas City Electrical Supply
One of the largest U.S. electrical distributor chains moves into Kansas with the purchase of a 2-location $25 million distributor.
3. DOE Establishes Bipartisan Infrastructure Law's $225 Million for Improved Building Codes
The U.S. Department of Energy Building Technologies Office has issued a request for information to gather responses from the public that will inform the program development and execution of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
4. Authorities warn that dangerous new malware can shut down, sabotage industrial sites
The malware initially targeted Schneider Electric and Omron controllers.
5. Google to invest $9.5B in US offices and data centers
