LEDVANCE Unveils New Lightpoint Training Platform
In-person training center unveiled while company executes multi-prong strategy to support customers throughout North America
LEDVANCE, a global lighting leader with over 100 years of experience, has introduced its brand new Lightpoint Training Center in Westfield, Indiana a suburb of Indianapolis. This state-of-the-art facility emphasizes the company's dedication to innovation and technical prowess.
Inside the Lightpoint Training Center
On Wednesday August 16, the day of its official opening, LEDVANCE granted inside.lighting an exclusive tour of the newly minted training center. The facility boasts state of the art technology an extensive collection of commercial and industrial product families from both LEDVANCE and Sylvania brands. The new carpet smell is inviting, too.

While LEDVANCE has had a presence in Westfield since the 1990s, recent renovations have incorporated the new Lightpoint Training Center, demonstrating a LEDVANCE’s commitment to training and technical expertise in the lighting industry.
The Lightpoint Training Center was formerly located at the LEDVANCE headquarters in Wilmington, Massachusetts. Now, adjacent to the LEDVANCE Customer Service Center in Westfield, the training center is strategically placed to maximize its outreach. The customer service center currently employs around 75 professionals.
A Hub for Lighting Professionals
LEDVANCE anticipates hosting hundreds of lighting industry experts, contractors, distributors, and customers annually at Lightpoint. Drawing attendees from across the U.S. and Canada, the center is poised to become a nexus for industry networking and education.
Jonathan Lubeck, CEO of LEDVANCE, remarked on the pivotal role of the training center, "We hear from our customers directly – distribution, end users and national accounts – that LEDVANCE has always been a leader on teaching our customers in the industry about the right way to light a facility in an application."
Five Strategic Pillars of Lightpoint
Pedro Sega, Head of Marketing, provided insight into the creation of the latest Lightpoint Training Center as well as other strategies that support customer learning and engagement. “Lightpoint is a five pillar platform that we developed specifically for our customers and partners,” he explained.
1. In-Person Training Center:
A top-tier facility for hands-on learning and education. Hundreds of lighting professionals are expected to visit Westfield, Indiana in the coming months for hands-on learning, networking and education.
2. Lightpoint Livestream:
Lightpoint is introducing a live stream feature, allowing LEDVANCE product experts to virtually join events using Microsoft's Teams Front Row technology. Lightpoint Live Stream provides an immersive experience for training and product interactions, accommodating both remote and in-person participants. Key features include an innovative layout, easy view-switching during calls and a focus on product details during demonstrations. The platform is mobile-friendly and uses dedicated computers and cameras located at Lightpoint in Westfield and at the company’s U.S. headquarters in Wilmington.
3. Lightpoint On Demand:
Lightpoint On Demand is a round-the-clock digital training platform powered by Bluevolt. Catering to global lighting professionals, the online platform offers a comprehensive course catalog on diverse lighting topics. Users can delve into myriad aspects of commercial and industrial lighting, gaining insights on its application, and enhancing their expertise from any location worldwide.
4. Lightpoint Library:
Lightpoint Library is a robust training directory offering a variety of lighting tips, references, case studies, and many more resources to keep commercial and industrial lighting professionals up to speed.
5. LEDVANCE Mobile Showrooms:
Bright orange mobile vans are equipped with the latest LEDVANCE and Sylvania product innovations, offering on-the-go product demonstrations and training. Mobile showrooms arrive at the locations electrical distributors, contractors, job sites or anywhere the road takes LEDVANCE.
Holistic Approach to Industry Education
Kyle Christensen, Product Technical Instructor at LEDVANCE, accentuated the center's emphasis on continuous learning and education.
