Planned turnaround falls short under new ownership at Igor

Iowa-based Power-over-Ethernet platform company, Igor, Inc., has announced the decision to shut down its operations.

The company, founded by Dwight Stewart in 2013, had faced challenges in recent years including supply chain issues that necessitated the cash infusion. In February, inside.lighting was the only industry media to report that Igor had been sold to a group of investors who aimed to continue expanding the firm's PoE smart building technology.

The February announcement explained that Dwight Stewart would continue to manage the business, and in a company statement, he expressed confidence that the transition ensures the company's future, thanks to the financial commitments of the new owners.

In a letter to customers and other stakeholders, Igor assured continued support for existing Igor products and has explained that Digital Building Solutions will be acquiring all of Igor's existing inventory, taking responsibility for customer service and Day 2 support.

According to the letter, Digital Building Solutions, has been known for its high standards and successful Igor-based PoE installations. Customers were given reassurances that ongoing support agreements would be transitioned smoothly. The unsigned letter concludes with an apology for any inconvenience and an expression of gratitude for continued customer support.

Here is the contact information for Igor customers seeking support through Digital Building Solutions.
