Big Market Changes in the Carolinas

The world’s largest lighting agent moves into North Carolina – and partners with Signify throughout the Carolinas

Signify has announced that it will bolster its position with SESCO Lighting by partnering with the agency in both North Carolina and South Carolina to represent Genlyte Solutions and other brands. Three months ago, SESCO announced that it was acquiring South Carolina lighting agent, The Schneider Company – a leading lighting agent that represented Genlyte years ago.

In a statement Signify explained, “In February & March 2022, Signify will transition to new sales representation in the Carolina region – Western North Carolina (Charlotte/Greensboro), Eastern North Carolina (Raleigh/Wilmington) and South Carolina – for a selection of its global brands as well as its Genlyte Solutions portfolio of luminaire brands.”

The addition of North Carolina now expands SESCO Lighting's territory coverage to eight Southeastern U.S. states and the Carribbean.

SESCO Lighting will represent Signify’s global brands, namely Interact, Philips Dynalite and Color Kinetics, and the Genlyte Solutions portfolio of luminaire brands amongst commercial and industrial customers.

In addition to SESCO’s representation, Fox-Rowden-McBrayer (FRM) will represent Philips LED and conventional lamps and EvoKits as well as the Advance portfolio in the Carolinas.

EGI Agency will represent Signify’s global brands and Genlyte Solutions portfolio in Western North Carolina (Charlotte/Greensboro) until February 13, 2022.

Quality Lighting Solutions Agency will represent Signify’s global brands and Genlyte Solutions portfolio in Eastern North Carolina (Raleigh/Wilmingtonuntil February 13, 2022.

In South Carolina, Palmetto Lighting Solutions Agency will continue to represent Signify’s global brands and Genlyte Solutions portfolio until February 13, 2022 and Philips LED and conventional lamps and EvoKits as well as the Advance portfolio until March 15, 2022.
