Los Angeles Lighting Agency Significantly Reduces Operations
Total Lighting Concepts, one of the original lighting agencies established in Greater Los Angeles, decided to reduce operations indefinitely last month. In early July, the firm laid off a majority of sales and marketing associates while also resigning roughly 80% of their lines.
Principal Alison Brown said, “The market remains really uncertain in Southern CA. My partner and I have watched the markets, sales cycles, and political climate very carefully since March 2020. We were prepared to make this move if sales did not return to necessary levels by mid-summer 2021. So here we are. We will continue to service our clients and manufacturers for ongoing projects where needed.”
Alison is excited to start a new venture that will partner with agents and manufacturers across the US, while fellow Principal, Dave Hickman, is looking forward to using his veteran industry skills as a “fixer” to increase margins and reduce headaches with longtime associates throughout Southern CA.
