Focal Point, Kenall, Wattstopper and OCL unveil new lighting and control innovations

NEW YORK — Legrand's Lighting and Building Control Systems teams once again brought a strong, coordinated presence to LEDucation, showcasing a range of new products that balance design intent with real-world performance.

We stopped by four booths — Wattstopper, Focal Point, OCL, and Kenall — and asked each to highlight a single standout product.

Across those conversations, a consistent theme emerged: thoughtful refinement over reinvention.

Wattstopper emphasized sensor capabilities that extend beyond standalone devices, contributing meaningfully to broader building control strategies.

Focal Point made the case that precision still matters, introducing an adjustable cylinder offering, a Pure family extension, built for the exacting demands of architectural lighting.

OCL highlighted a suspended architectural system that began as a custom specification — refined through real project feedback — and has since evolved into a scalable product family, adaptable across a range of radii and lengths.

Kenall focused on the patient room, softening the over-bed lighting experience with improved visual comfort while still meeting stringent performance that healthcare facilities demand.

Taken together, the four brands reinforced a familiar but important idea: the next wave of innovation isn’t always louder—it’s smarter, more deliberate, and better aligned with how lighting is actually used.
