MetroSpec Technology® to Exhibit FlexRad® with New Nichia Cube DMC Technology at LEDucation

ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA — MetroSpec Technology, the leading American manufacturer of custom LED light sources, will be featuring Nichia’s new chip-scale LED at LEDucation, the 19thand 20th of March. This newly launched LED achieves a horizontal, ultra-wide ‘batwing’ light distribution that creates a soft, low-glare light with even distribution. There is no need for special, thicker lenses, thereby enabling thinner and lighter fixtures. Particularly with shallow drums, curves, cylinders and globes, lighting evenly can be a challenge, especially when the lens is very close to the LED light source. Erik Swenson, President of Nichia America, states “Nichia continues to be the leader of LED innovation in the general illumination market, developing creative ways to solves today’s fixture challenges and demands. MetroSpec Technology has developed a series of FlexRad LED light sources that complement this new chip-scale LED, is easy to incorporate into new, lighter designs and saves on materials and labor in manufacturing. FlexRad Hashtag is a great example of an existing MetroSpec LED light source that, when coupled with the new Nichia LED in a shallow fixture, epitomizes even distribution of light.
