Polished presentation of Fuego Compact by WAC Architectural earns accolades, championship belt
For the second year in a row, Leigh Gice of WAC Group earned Inside Lighting’s Showstopper Award at LEDucation in New York, this time for her presentation of the Fuego Compact. The award is selected from our Just One Product video series, where we ask exhibitors to showcase a single product on camera. This year, we recorded 28 presentations, and our judges identified Leigh’s product and delivery as the strongest of the group.
The Fuego Compact is part of WAC Architectural, a newly introduced brand segment that made its global debut last month at Light + Building. But the recognition here was earned on the show floor, where products and the people behind them are tested in real time.
Controlled Chaos, By Design
Inside Lighting’s Showstopper Award is anything but restrained. The moment arrived with a megaphone, confetti, and Chip the mascot energizing the crowd. Gice matched the moment beat for beat, even breaking into a celebratory dance as she accepted her second custom wrestling-style championship belt, reimagined as the Showstopper Award trophy.
Out of all presentations evaluated, Gice’s stood above the rest by connecting product, clarity, and presence. Two years in a row, Leigh Gice is setting a high bar for what that combination looks like in practice.
