Are U.S. & Canada Lighting People attending Light + Building?

North American pros light up the scene in Frankfurt, Germany

At the Light + Building 2024 trade show in Frankfurt, Germany, lighting people from all over the globe are experiencing an electric atmosphere. This year's theme, "Be Electrified," seems to be living up to its name, with attendees from the North American lighting community, including numerous designers and manufacturers, marking a significant presence among the European and international exhibitors and attendees. Despite notable absences like Flos, Louis Poulsen and Signify, the show floor is bustling with activity, showcasing a range of lighting innovations.

In 2018, the final Light + Building event before the pandemic drew 228,000 attendees. The latest Light + Building event, held in the autumn of 2022, attracted 93,000 attendees, marking a 58% decrease. This year, the event features over 2,200 exhibitors, inching closer to the more than 2,700 exhibitors present in 2018, with attendee numbers expected to surpass 150,000, possibly by a very large margin.
