Signify Makes Moves in Two Top 15 U.S. Markets
New agent partnerships formed in Michigan and Arizona
ROMULUS, MI & SURPRISE, AZ | Signify is making two new agent appointments for representation of its professional lighting fixtures and controls products – also known as the Genlyte Solutions platform – in two important markets.
Detroit & Grand Rapids Michigan:
Wizard Lighting appears to be the new Genlyte Solutions agent for the entire state of Michigan excluding the Upper Peninsula. It is unclear if representation contracts are officially signed and finalized, but the former Genlyte Solutions agent, Pro-Tech Lighting, has removed all Signify brands from its line card and Wizard Lighting has added Signify brands to its line card. Wizard Lighting was founded by ex-Gasser Bush sales professional, Bryan Wisniewski, and up until recently, the agency has covered solely the west portion of the state that includes Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo.
In recent weeks, Wizard Lighting joined forces with Baylume, which caused Wizard Lighting to become a statewide representative. Most or all of the Baylume’s manufacturers seem to be moving to Wizard Lighting, while two key “Baylumers”, Mike Bay and Dennis Newhouse, are now part of the Wizard Lighting team.
In addition to Genlyte Solutions, Wizard Lighting also cites the following brands on its line card: Color Kinetics (another Signify brand), LSI Industries, Maxlite, TGS, eLuminaire and Saylite.
After many years of factory-direct coverage, Signify has formed a new partnership with Allied Group Sales (AGS) throughout the state of Arizona. AGS, a multi-state electrical and lighting representative, is the new representative for Signify’s Genlyte Solutions throughout Arizona. As an agency, AGS covers other territories including Las Vegas, New Mexico & El Paso – and has its most robust lighting line card in Arizona which also includes Atlas Lighting, Wattstopper and local manufacturer, Barron Lighting Group.
AGS continues to represent Signify’s Philips professional lamps and Advance brands in Las Vegas. As of Wednesday, June 1, AGS will expand its representation of Philips and Advance into New Mexico and El Paso.
The Genlyte Solutions brands include:
