A Packed 2027 Lighting Calendar Comes Into Focus

A reshuffled event calendar gives lighting people plenty to navigate

As the 2026 show season winds down, the 2027 calendar is already loaded. We have posted 19 lighting and lighting-adjacent events to the Inside Lighting events page, with about a dozen more still awaiting final details. Several events have moved, merged, or reinvented themselves since last year. Before you start blocking out dates, here's what stands out.

What's New on the 2027 Calendar

A new flagship takes the stage in Las Vegas. Light + Intelligent Building North America makes its debut March 16-18. As the reincarnation of LightFair, it's the most-watched event of the year. Manufacturers, specifiers, and channel partners will all be sizing up whether the industry's longtime flagship has found its second act.
LEDucation settles into April, and Milan beckons the same week. LEDucation runs three days, April 13-15, in New York. Euroluce opens in Milan on April 13 and runs through the 18th. Design- and decor-minded lighting people with a global outlook may have to choose a continent, or get very comfortable with overnight flights.
The week of June 13 is a big pileup. Four events land in the same stretch:
- NeoCon Illuminate in Chicago (June 12–16), returning the lighting-focused show-within-a-show that debuted in 2026 within the large commercial interiors event, which draws more than 50,000 attendees.
- InfoComm, which also draws tens of thousands of attendees, folds in Lightapalooza for the first time (June 12-18).
- Light! Design Expo hosted by the San Francisco Section of the IES, takes place at the Embarcadero on June 17.
- IESNYC Lumen Awards Gala lands the same day at Chelsea Piers, putting two major local IES Section events on opposite coasts.
LDI heads to the Big Easy. The entertainment lighting show usually lands in November or December, almost always in Las Vegas or Orlando. In 2027 LDI moves to October 19-21 in New Orleans. The earlier dates pull it out of the holiday crunch, and attendees get to trade the Strip for the French Quarter. Beignets are an acceptable networking snack.

Something for Everyone

Lighting people work in every corner of the building products ecosystem. Some write specifications, others sell them, stock them, install them, program them, or light up stages with them. That range is exactly why the calendar runs so deep.

If you want white papers and technical sessions, they're there. If you want to see products up close, put your hands on fixtures, and quiz the engineer who designed them, that's there too. Deep-dive education, award galas, product fairs, and after-hours parties where the real industry news gets shared over a drink are all on the schedule. And if you simply want to mingle with the people who make this business run, 2027 offers plenty of chances.
