IALD Honors 2025 Award Winners
Six U.S. projects, six China projects among the 19 architectural lighting design standouts
The International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) held its 42nd annual Lighting Design Awards ceremony on May 7 at the Sahara Resort in Las Vegas. Over 200 lighting professionals attended the event, which recognized 19 architectural lighting design projects from eight countries. Acuity served as the event’s headline sponsor, supporting the evening’s celebration of design excellence.
The 2025 Radiance Award, the event’s top honor, was presented to Muru Giligu – Metro Martin Place Pedestrian Link in Sydney, Australia, designed by Electrolight. The project was noted for its strong integration of lighting and architecture in a public urban space.
This year’s winning projects came from the United States (6), China (6), Australia (2), Taiwan (1), the United Kingdom (1), Japan (1), Greece (1), and France (1).

The call for entries for the 2026 IALD Awards will open in early June. The 43rd annual ceremony is scheduled to take place in March 2026 at Light + Building in Frankfurt, Germany. More information is available at iald.org/awards.
