Inteplast Group Acquires A.L.P., Supporting Growth in Optical Molding

Acquisition expands manufacturing resources while maintaining commitment to lighting OEMs

NILES, IL — A.L.P., a leading manufacturer of lighting components and custom optical molding solutions, has been acquired by Inteplast Group, a privately held plastics and paper manufacturer. The business will now operate as ALP Lighting Components LLC, an Inteplast Group company, within the Sustainable Packaging & Printing Solutions (SP&PS) Division. The acquisition provides additional resources to expand ALP's manufacturing capabilities and pursue new markets while maintaining its longstanding commitment to lighting OEMs.

The acquisition adds ALP's specialized optical molding expertise and established manufacturing operations in Mexico to Inteplast's portfolio. Lighting is a core focus, with expansion into other markets supporting further investment in technologies and capabilities that benefit lighting manufacturers.

"After more than 70 years of family ownership, we wanted a partner that understood the value of what we've built and could position ALP for long-term success," said Steve Brown, CEO. "Inteplast brings the financial strength and manufacturing expertise to support that growth."

Adam Mayse will continue as President and Chief Operating Officer of ALP, ensuring stable leadership and operations.

"For lighting OEMs, this means dependable access to the engineering expertise, specialized manufacturing capabilities, and technical support they rely on, backed by greater resources for future growth," said Mayse. "We're well positioned to build on those strengths and deepen our service to the lighting industry."

ALP's existing manufacturing facilities and its customer service and technical teams will remain in place. Bill Brown Sales will continue to serve as ALP's sales representative, with Steve Brown supporting the company's growth in the lighting industry.
