WAC Group Wins Showstopper Award at LEDucation for Second Consecutive Year
NEW YORK — For the second year in a row, Product Marketing Director Leigh Gice of the WAC Group won Inside Lighting's Showstopper Award Belt at LEDucation in New York City. She earned the 2026 championship belt by presenting the Fuego Compact, a precision fixture from the newly launched WAC Architectural Lighting brand.
Fuego Compact is an ultra-small, high-performance in-ground architectural fixture. The heavy-duty, uplights are designed for discreet and precise landscape, architectural, hospitality, and facade illumination. The ultra-durable, low-profile fixtures are engineered to brave the elements while providing high-performance, glare-free lighting.
Built with a 316 stainless steel face frame, die-cast aluminum housing, and a pre-buried cylinder sleeve design for easy installation and maintenance, the Fuego Compact features an IP68 protection rating (fully submersible and weatherproof) and an IK08 impact resistance, with a load-bearing capacity ranging up to 1500kg. Fuego Compact is available in five sizes, from one inch in diameter as a marker light to 9.7 inches, which pushes light up two to three stories of a building while delivering up to nearly 5,000 lumens. Equipped with a high-transmittance lens and a patented anti-glare system, it offers a fully factory-sealed optical chamber that delivers static white and color-changing capabilities.
Selected from the Just One Product video series, judges reviewed 28 different exhibitor pitches and named Leigh Gice's polished, high-energy presentation as the strongest of the show.
LEDucation 2026 took place in New York City at the New York Hilton Midtown. WAC Group made a massive splash at the event, not only by taking home the belt but by debuting the entire WAC Architectural commercial specification line.
