NEMRA Lighting Postpones Inaugural Summit to Better Align with Member Expectations

Decision reflects member feedback calling for greater emphasis on education, professional development, and industry engagement

Over the past several months, NEMRA Lighting and the Lighting Advisory Council have engaged agency leaders and manufacturers to gather feedback on the inaugural NEMRA Lighting Summit to better understand what would deliver the greatest value to the lighting channel. We are grateful for the candid feedback, thoughtful discussions, and strong support for NEMRA Lighting and its long-term vision.

The feedback was clear: members strongly support the mission of NEMRA Lighting and the vision of a dedicated industry event. At the same time, many expressed a desire for a Summit that places greater emphasis on education, professional development, industry insights, emerging technologies, and leadership development.

Based on this feedback, NEMRA Lighting and the Lighting Advisory Council have made the decision to postpone the inaugural Summit and ensure it aligns with member expectations for value, education, professional development, and industry engagement.

This is not a step back. It is a deliberate step forward.

Our goal is not simply to host an event. Our goal is to create a premier industry experience that delivers meaningful value for representatives, manufacturers, and the lighting community. We believe taking the time to better align the Summit with member expectations is the right long-term decision.

While the in-person Summit is being reimagined, NEMRA Lighting remains committed to delivering value. This fall, we will look to launch a series of virtual educational and leadership programs designed to provide members with timely industry insights, professional development, and practical business resources.

In addition, NEMRA Lighting and the Advisory Council will continue engaging members across the lighting ecosystem as we explore future programming and event opportunities that reflect the needs of our industry.

Most importantly, this decision reflects our commitment to listening to our members and building programs that support their long-term success.

We appreciate your engagement, feedback, and support, and we look forward to sharing additional details in the months ahead.
