Magnitude Lighting Reduces Tariff Surcharge from 8.5% to 6.4%
Lower surcharge reflects supply chain efficiencies and Magnitude's continued commitment to transparency, pricing consistency, and customer support
Irvine, California — Magnitude Lighting is pleased to announce that, through close collaboration with its supply chain partners and continued efforts to create efficiencies in imported components, the company will reduce its Tariff Surcharge from 8.5% to 6.4%.
Since the beginning of the tariff discussions in 2025, Magnitude Lighting adopted a unique and transparent approach to reflecting tariff-related costs. Rather than embedding those increases directly into product pricing, the company implemented a separate Tariff Surcharge designed to reflect only and exclusively the cost impact associated with tariffs. This approach allowed Magnitude to preserve pricing consistency across its product portfolio while giving customers clear visibility into the specific effect of tariff-related costs.
"As the tariff environment has evolved, it has created confusion and volatility throughout the market," said Michael Bremser, PhD, Chief Executive Officer of Magnitude Lighting. "By implementing a separate Tariff Surcharge, Magnitude provided customers with a transparent way to understand those costs without disrupting the consistency of our core pricing. We are very pleased that, through the work of our supply chain teams and partners, we are now able to reduce that surcharge and pass this benefit along to our customers in support of their business and continued success."
The revised surcharge reflects improved efficiencies in imported components and Magnitude's ongoing commitment to managing costs responsibly while maintaining the high quality, service, and product reliability customers expect.
"We are very pleased with the work accomplished together with our supply chain partners, and we are excited to extend this benefit to our customers," said Emilio Pedral, Chief Revenue Officer of Magnitude Lighting. "This adjustment once again confirms Magnitude's commitment to transparency and to supporting our customers with pricing practices that are clear, fair, and responsive to market realities."
Magnitude believes this model continues to offer an important benefit to customers and partners by separating temporary or variable tariff-related costs from underlying product pricing. As market conditions continue to evolve, the company will remain focused on transparency, disciplined pricing, and proactive communication.
This reduction is part of Magnitude's broader effort to support its distributors, OEMs, integrators, and business partners with solutions that not only perform reliably in the field but are also backed by responsible commercial practices.
The company has begun the process of requesting refunds for tariffs incurred and paid under IEEPA; however, no reimbursements have so far been collected and tariffs to countries remain in place. Magnitude continues monitoring changes in global trade and sourcing conditions and will adjust its response as appropriate, with the goal of maintaining responsible pricing, strong customer support, and open communication with partners across the market.
