Nemalux announces the release of the new JR Series, a compact luminaire for industrial applications

Calgary, Alberta, Canada — Nemalux, the leading Canadian manufacturer of harsh and hazardous location LED luminaires, introduces the JR Series, a new product family for heavy-duty use. It is one of the most advanced fixture designs to enter the market in the last few years, addressing lighting needs in the Oil and Gas, Marine, Chemical, Mining, Water/Wastewater, Infrastructure, and General Industrial segments.

Upgrading aging lighting systems in industrial facilities can reduce the risk of injuries, enhance target detection, and improve visual performance. Precise control over the intensity and colour quality further enhances safety, increases productivity, and improves the work environment.

The JR Series is a versatile 2,000 – 5,000 lumen LED luminaire with nine mounting options to maximize deployment within industrial workplaces for heavy-duty applications. It features a lightweight, low-profile aluminum housing for easy installation and a high-efficiency optical design for improved illumination.

The JR is certified for use in general, marine, and hazardous locations. With an input voltage range of 120-277 VAC, it operates effectively in ambient temperatures of -40°C to +60°C and boasts an ingress protection level of IP66/67. A fully encapsulated variant is available with IP68 ratings and withstands permanent submersion to a depth of up to 25 feet. Constructed from marine-grade copper-free aluminum, it features a durable multi-layer powder-coated finish. Facilities can optimize luminaire placement for the best outcomes with various beam profiles and the capacity to support through-wiring for multiple JRs on a single circuit.
