SoCal: Kore Controls & LIGHT Merger has been Cancelled

The merging of LIGHT and Kore Controls was expected to give the commercial lighting industry a powerful new alternative when it comes to specifying and procuring both lighting fixtures and controls. Unfortunately, after 4 short months, the merger has been cancelled and the two firms are currently winding down joint operations. Once complete, each firm will operate as a separate and autonomous agency.

Kore Controls will undergo a minor branding adjustment to reflect its focus on selling lighting fixtures and will now be called Kore Lighting and Controls. Kore Lighting and Controls is a Manufacturers’ Representative Agency in Irvine, CA, and is the Crestron Commercial Lighting Controls Representative for Southern California. Kore Lighting and Controls will be expanding its reach into the fixture market to sell both commercial fixtures and controls. Kore Lighting and Controls is currently in talks with several fixture manufacturers to help round out its line card. Kore Lighting and Controls is also seeking highly motivated and successful lighting salespeople, who want to work with an agency who truly values them and operates with integrity.

Kore Lighting and Controls was launched in 2018 as a spin-off from its sister company Kore Logix, a 22-year-old Crestron Service Provider based in Highlands Ranch, CO. The Kore team is highly specialized in lighting controls and performs & manages all services locally and in-house. Services such as T24 compliance, fully engineered controls quotes and submittals, startups & commissioning, and ongoing customer service & support are all performed by a Southern California team, who are truly experts in Commercial Lighting Controls.
