DALLAS – Lighting and tradeshow industry veteran Lea Tranakos has joined Dallas Market Center as Senior Director of Audience Development and Tradeshow Sales, the company has announced. Tranakos is responsible for growth strategy for attendees and exhibitors at ArchLIGHT Summit, the annual lighting trade event and educational platform for the architectural, specification and design communities. “Lea’s expertise and experience will be extremely valuable as more exhibitors and attendees seek an annual, U.S.-based lighting event firmly committed to serving the industry,” said Jo Ann Miller Marshall. “Dallas is already recognized around the world as the home of lighting, and there is a tremendous opportunity to continue to accelerate the growth of ArchLIGHT Summit with Lea’s contributions.”

Tranakos joins Dallas Market Center during a time of transition for U.S. trade events serving commercial and architectural lighting. The biennial LightFair trade event recently changed hands to a European-based management company, underscoring ArchLIGHT Summit’s importance as an annual, U.S.-based event for the community of manufacturers, designers, and sales representatives as well as buyers including architects, architectural designers, specifiers, and other decision-making professionals.

“The timing is ideal to join the Dallas Market Center team and capitalize on ArchLIGHT Summit’s reputation and trajectory,” said Lea Tranakos. “The event is well-regarded as a strong balance of exhibitors and inspirational programming. I look forward to working with the team to focus on the event’s long-term success and am deeply committed to the supporting the industry community.”

Tranakos joins a Dallas Market Center lighting team that includes Jo Ann Miller Marshall, SVP Trade Show Leasing; Patty Price, VP Leasing for Lighting; Laura Van Zeyl, VP Marketing for Lightovation; Arturo Maluy, the Lighting Concierge; and ArchLIGHT Summit Event Strategy & Marketing consultant Cindy Foster-Warthen.
