Universal AC input tunable white LED modules (TWM2) boast an integrated AC to DC driver, Tri-Mode operation™, and Bluetooth LE commissioning among several exclusive features

LOS ANGELES –– An LEDs Magazine BrightStar Award recipient, ERP Power LLC (“ERP”) is launching its new Araya® universal AC input tunable white LED modules (TWM2) at LightFair 2022.

The next-generation TWM2 light engine presents a variety of advantages over traditional solid-state lighting solutions. This includes expansive feature sets not attainable from conventional COB/Driver solutions, cost savings via consolidation of components, streamlined inventory management with the elimination of unnecessary SKUs, and simplified, easy-to-follow assembly best practices.

Tri-mode operation™ enables fixture manufacturers to offer a wide range of products with only one light engine. Options include tunable white products for end-users desiring dynamic control over CCT, static white products that can offer a wide range of CCTs while eliminating the need for excessive COBs, or warm-dim products for retrofit applications of legacy lighting methods.

Features

  • Integrated AC to DC driver electronics (120 to 277 Vac, 50/60 Hz)
  • CCT control: 0-10 V
  • Tri-Mode operation™: tunable white, static white, warm dim
  • Optional Bluetooth LE commissioning with the ERP Tunable White app
  • Tri-Mode dimming™ control: 0-10 V, TRIAC, ELV
  • Optional Dim-to-off in ERP Tunable White app

The TWM2 delivers up to 2800 lumens and offers a wide CCT range from 1800 K to 6500 K, with a dimming capability to 1%. The non-linear tuning capability of TWM2 delivers its color quality (90+ CRI) with < 3 step MacAdam ellipse (SDCM) across its tuning range and includes two Warm Dim lamp profiles—MR16 halogen (3050–1800 K) and incandescent (2700–1800 K)—as well as twelve (12) ANSI CCT color points pre-programmed into each engine. The output intensity of the TWM2 can be controlled with a TRIAC or a 0–10 V dimmer, while its color can be dynamically and independently controlled with a second 0–10 V controller. The TWM2 series light engine helps LED lighting fixture manufacturers meet the technical requirements of ENERGY STAR®, California Title 24, IEEE 1789, and the DesignLights Consortium (DLC) specifications.

Bluetooth Commissioning (optional)

The optional Bluetooth integration provides a suite of functionalities such as Dim Stop, Dim to Off Enabler, Warm Dim Enabler, CCT Range Selector, Customizable Preset Slots (6 points), and ANSI CCT Presets (12 points). The TWM2 series with embedded Bluetooth LE can be commissioned using the ERP Tunable White app, downloadable from the Apple App Store.

Tri-Mode Dimming

ERP’s unique Tri-Mode Dimming™ feature provides high-performance dimming for TRIAC, ELV, and 0-10 V, resulting in dimming compatibility scores improving from 90+% to 98+%, dramatically reducing any flicker, shimmer, and ripple issues. The new TWM2 series delivers 1% TRIAC dimming granularity with startup and sustained operation at 1% to ensure architects and lighting designers have precise scene control.
