New IALD Leadership Set as 2026 Begins

New and returning leaders officially elected to the IALD Board and Membership Committee
The International Association of Lighting Designers has announced the results of its 2026 elections for the Board of Directors and Membership Committee. The newly elected and reelected members will begin their terms as the organization transitions to new leadership in the coming year.
Four lighting designers were elected to serve as Directors at Large on the IALD Board of Directors, including two incumbents returning for additional terms.

The elections also determined leadership for the IALD Membership Committee, with Rachel Fitzgerald returning as Committee Chair and two members elected to serve alongside her.

The election results come as the IALD prepares for a leadership transition at the presidential level. Andrea Hartranft, FIALD of Hartranft Lighting Studios, will complete her term as President on December 31, with Carla Wilkins, IALD of Lichtvision Design GmbH in Germany, assuming the presidency on January 1, 2026.
The newly elected board members and committee leaders will serve as volunteers, contributing their expertise to guide the association's strategic direction and support its global membership of lighting design professionals.
