Cross-licensing involves WAC's 4, Big Ass Fans 1 UV-C patents

WAC Lighting and Big Ass Fans have entered into a cross-licensing agreement that allows both companies to share their patented technologies, with Big Ass Fans becoming a licensee to four of WAC’s patents, while WAC gains access to one of Big Ass Fans’ patents.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, WAC Lighting accelerated the development of their germicidal fan technology. The company focused on creating products to assist both home and business owners in disinfecting spaces. WAC Lighting explains that independent tests conducted by a CAP and CLIA accredited laboratory demonstrate a reduction of up to 99.99% of active SARS-CoV-2 and 99.77% of Influenza A. Notable products integrating Ultraviolet-C (UV-C) radiating LED technology are the Modern Forms Ultra fan and the WAC Terminator fan.
