Flex Sells Lighting Business to Linmore LED

Flex, Ltd, the $24B multinational electronics contract manufacturer has sold its Flex Lighting Solutions (FLS) business to Linmore LED. 

Flex, Ltd. has exited the industrial lighting space and has sold Flex Lighting Solutions to strategic buyer, Linmore LED.  CEO of Flex, Revathi Advaithi, was formerly a senior executive with Eaton -- where one of her responsibilities included the $1.6B business unit now known as Cooper Lighting Solutions. 

Linmore LED will manufacture and commercialize the FLS Essentials, CH Series, and the rest of FLS industrial fixtures. 

We believe Flex Lighting Solutions annual revenue to be less than $40M.

Linmore LED Acquires Flex Lighting Solutions 

February 8, 2021—FRESNO, CA  On Monday, February 8, 2021, Linmore LED acquired the operating assets, products, and intellectual property related to the High Performance Industrial Lighting business of Flex Lighting Solutions (FLS). Known for their high-quality high bay lighting systems, FLS products are among the best in the industry. Linmore LED is known for its high performing light bars, troffers, and outdoor products.

“The addition of FLS High Bays expands Linmore’s Highest Performing LED Product Line and allows both businesses to increase their customer base,” says Paul Chamberlain, Chief Executive Officer of Linmore LED, “Beyond tangible assets, Linmore has acquired engineering and marketing resources that we did not have internally.”

Not only is Linmore LED capitalizing on FLS’ operations and products, but their human capital as well. “We are thrilled to add the FLS employees to the Linmore family,” says John Gilmore, Chief Revenue Officer of Linmore LED! “With their extensive experience in the lighting industry, Linmore has added a foundation of human talent that will propel our growth and development.”

Additionally, this acquisition gives Linmore LED offices in Plano, Texas and Kansas City, Missouri and an expanded outside sales team in locations across the USA.

“Our existing manufacturing facility in Fresno is being expanded to over 120,000 square feet to accommodate the acquisition. We are proud to be adding more jobs to our local economy in Fresno, says Copper Wallace, Chief Operating Officer.
