SCI Lighting Solutions Celebrates 30 Years of Leadership in Lighting

Irvine, CA – June 29th marked Southern California Illumination’s official 30th anniversary. The milestone celebration commenced earlier in the month with a soiree and product showcase titled Pearl Lux that was attended by over 400 industry professionals.

“In June of 1992, SCI was founded with three original partners including myself. We were one of the last markets in North America to be named the Cooper Lighting Agent. Fast forward to 2022, and SCI has seen some tremendous growth over the last 30 years and has ushered in some very exciting new leaders into the organization, including my partner Scott Anderson, Emily Fussell, Ryan Weiss, Jim Kelly, and Dave Canio. Of course, we do have a few of our original employees, Robin Medina (VP of Operations) and John Boyle (Senior C&I Sales),” noted Tom Thomson, founder, and president of SCI.

While the organization has grown immensely and gone through many exciting changes over the years, SCI continues to operate under the original three principles on which it was founded: Service, value, and integrity.

“SCI continues to grow and expand within the Southern California market and we’re extremely excited about the next 30 years as we continue to reinvest in our people, programs, and services throughout our market. We are proud of our entire team that supports our business and customers and of course, we couldn’t have done all of this without the support of our clients and manufacturers!”

Tom Thomson, Founder & President, SCI Lighting Solutions

SCI will continue to celebrate this momentous anniversary for the remainder of the year and is looking forward to an incredible future and another 30 years of success.
