A few tips to help your Career Ads get better responses:
  1. Include a specific call to action, i.e. "Interested individuals should apply by emailing a resume to..."

  2. A three-page HR job description filled with policy, compliance details and internal acronyms is not an engaging career ad. Incorporate language about your great company and culture -- and the exciting career opportunity -- that inspires and attracts top applicants.

  3. Don't make applications overly laborious. If you require them to take a 20-30 minute personality test in Step One before they've even made it through the initial screening, that will likely reduce responses.  Busy A-player candidates might not have the time or high-level of initial interest to invest in job-exploration.
