$1 billion lighting maker is working to identify permanent CEO

This morning, Current™ announced a leadership change appointing Bill Tolley as its Interim CEO, effective today. The company explained that departing CEO Manish Bhandari was instrumental in leading the company through the pandemic and a transformative acquisition of Hubbell’s C&I Lighting business.

Tolley was formerly a longtime executive of Hubbell, Inc. and joined Hubbell as Chief Financial Officer in 2002 – the same year Hubbell acquired Lighting Corporation of America (which included the brands Kim Lighting, Columbia Lighting and Dual-Lite).  Tolley went on to become President of two Hubbell divisions, Power Systems and Wiring Systems. Since 2019, Tolley has been part of Current's Board of Directors and in that capacity he attended LightFair 2021 in New York City the same week the company announced the acquisition of Hubbell Lighting.
