Technical Sales Support / Quotations / Lighting Applications Specialist
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with lighting experience to continue our dynamic growth by providing the highest level of sales support in every area of our business. A growing LED lighting manufacturer serving the commercial, industrial, and retail markets is seeking qualified candidates. This position may be remote (home-based) or located at the company’s headquarters in the southeastern United States.
JOB SUMMARY
The Inside Technical Sales Support/Quotations Specialist is responsible for Inside Sales and Technical Lighting Support as well as generating quotations based on projects and customer needs. In addition, the position is responsible for generating lighting designs, proposal generation, project management, accurate quotes, product codes, technical information, and lead times in a timely manner. Will interface directly with sales, company leadership, direct customers, and the internal production team. Current experience with a lighting manufacturer, lighting distributor, or lighting agency required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inside Technical Sales Support is responsible for assisting with the promotion of company products.
- Interface with sales representatives to provide quotations, product submittals, technical information, product availability, and suggest alternative product solutions where necessary.
- Provide project lighting layouts using Visual software.
- Generate accurate and timely quotations.
- Answer product questions, provide technical support.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with sales representatives and customers to build rapport.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, job files and quotes records to facilitate smooth transition to other departments.
- Maintain quotations database.
- Compile submittals based on lighting designs for approval.
- Ability to close out projects to ensure accurate invoices and other documentation required by customer.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in lighting industry required – 5 or more years.
- Ability to read architectural drawings required.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD a plus.
- Working knowledge of Visual Lighting Software required – AGI32 knowledge beneficial.
- Ability to analyze technical lighting project information in detail.
- Strong excel knowledge required (minimum intermediate user).
- Creative problem-solving ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently deliver excellent results in a fast-paced, small company environment and tight time frames.
- Working knowledge of Hubspot CRM platform a plus.
Offer Guidelines
- Salary Commensurate with experience - anticipated range of $80,000 to $100,000 — salary paid weekly
- Position can be remote
- Two Weeks Paid Vacation
- 50% Paid Health Insurance (Employee Only) – after 30 days from start date
