SeaTac Lighting & Controls – Tukwila, WA is currently looking for a self-motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Quoter/Estimator. Our ideal candidate will be a critical thinking, detail-oriented, self-starter that excels in a fast paced, solution driven team environment. As a valued member of the SeaTac Lighting & Controls team, you will provide key support in creative problem solving directly related to the company’s profits.


Job Description: Full-Time Lighting Quoter/Estimator working as part of the inside sales team to help negotiate and win projects. Must be able to review plans, specifications, addenda, and customer requests to create detailed and accurate lighting bill of materials by required deadlines. 


Job Duties:

  • Utilize critical thinking to solve individual and team-based problems

  • Work with outside sales team to provide budget pricing for projects

  • Correspond with manufacturers to get correct pricing for all products on projects

  • Know and understand all pricing and policies of our manufacturer partners

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our manufacturer partners

  • Communicate clearly with other departments on assigned projects

  • Meet bid date deadlines, working with sales team to strategize bids

  • Work with project managers to ensure clean project hand off once a project has been won

  • Manage money on projects to ensure maximum profitability

  • Read and understand plans and specifications – including lighting fixture schedules

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all customers and outside sales staff

  • Help technical support and project management teams with priors and submittals

  • Other duties as required


Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Lighting and Lighting Controls

  • Construction Industry background and ability to read plans and specifications

  • Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat

  • Familiarity with Oasis, Cahill, Excell, Smartsheet and Bluebeam a plus

  • Eager to learn and have a desire to understand how things work

  • Critical Thinking, utilizing individual and team-based problem-solving skills

  • Team oriented, self-starter who is motivated to grow with the company

  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal, interpersonal, and intrapersonal communication skills

  • Organized and able to manage multiple projects from multiple accounts

  • Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines

  • Punctual, detail oriented and able to work at local office



  • Lighting Project quotations: 3-5 years required

  • Construction management: 1 year preferred



  • 8 hour shift, Monday through Friday, in-person at our office

  • $65,000 to $125,000 per year salary based on experience
