Specification Sales Manager - Builder/Multifamily: Remote

The Specification Sales Manager- Builder/Multifamily Division will have an outside sales background in the lighting industry. The successful candidate has a proven track record of developing new business in the residential builder/multifamily channel. This position serves as the primary service contact for clients and is responsible for client satisfaction, including strategic planning responsibilities. This position is expected to consistently provide reliable service and leadership to accounts.


Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in lighting sales or Must have previous experience within Builder/Multifamily channel working for a product manufacturer

  • Bachelor’s Degree BA/BS required

  • Have Existing relationships selling/specificying products with Top 50 Builders, Multifamily Developers, Contractors, Builders, Architects/Engineering Firms.

  • Must be well organized and have excellent presentation and organizational skills

  • Knowledge of LED technology and products.

  • Must be able to use Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel at a proficient level.

  • Must have great communication and leadership skills.

  • Understanding of quotations process.

  • Trade show / Training experience.

  • Excellent speaking and presentation skills.

  • Increase sales volume with in the Mulfi-Family Segment

  • Develop and implement a sales plan consisting of target key accounts for the builder/multifamily channel, set goals and objectives, to drive sales growth through as it relates to the overall goals and objectives of GlobaLux Lighting corporate.

  • Drives business to reach assigned quota

  • Is willing to commit to an annual quota and have his/her performance measured against the committed quota (sales and Gross Margin)

  • Demonstrate product knowledge and expertise by effectively showcasing the benefits of Globalux Lighting fixtures over competitors' products

  • Represent the company by consistently demonstrating the understanding and modeling of company’s mission and values.

  • Stay abreast of competitive applications, products, programs, and services available to customers in the territory.

  • Build and maintain a consistently strong pre-forecasted and committed pipeline.

  • Organize territory travel to provide effective sales coverage. Travel as required and approved by the company.

  • Work closely with inside sales and customer service to effectively and efficiently support new customers. Work and collaborate with team for quoting and quote follow up, project management, ordering and delivery, product customization, RGA’s and follow up as needed.

  • Attend trade shows and industry events

  • Provide information on competition and competitive products, industry trends, and industry information in general.

  • Effectively manage administrative duties such as call reports, expense reports, and assigned projects.

  • Proficient in the use of PowerPoint and other presentation software. Excel and Word.
