The Regional Sales Support Lamp Specialist is a new role in Current. The role is part of the Commercial organization and is responsible for driving growth in assigned sales region by focusing all efforts on analytics and developing actionable plans that result in increased sales. The ideal candidate is a digital native, a self-starter with a high sense of urgency and superior analytical skills. They must be able to effectively influence regional sales leaders, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.  

Responsibilities:

Distributor Focus

  • Support distributor growth and sales effectiveness by tracking sales KPIs by sales region to include quote trends, key projects, order tracking, NPD/Lamp performance, and SFDC & SIOP effectiveness. Drive recommendations for change relating to product and process improvements 

  • Analyze distributor business through scorecard and work with sales team to drive improved mix.

  • Identify product gaps and provide alternate product solutions to meet customer expectations. 

  • Seed visibility of excess and obsolete finished good inventory within assigned distributor organizations to drive sales. 

  • Align with our key distributors to act as a single point of contact to drive conversion rates on active quotes through sales wins.

  • Amplify and monitor performance to goal tracking on distributor sales growth incentives and promotions with proactive status communication to distribution

  • Own growth of discretionary business through distribution by ensuring price competitiveness, portfolio mix, and inventory/stock availability

  • Concierge service for distribution:

    1. Daily connectivity with Current Lamp sales team and quotes teams to help close orders with target pricing. 

    2. Daily connectivity with Current Lamp sales team and customer service teams to amplify visibility to bring issues to expedited resolution.

  • Utilize SFDC effectively in a manner to ensure effective Supply Inventory Operations Planning.

  • Coordinate with Lamp & Product Marketing teams to develop weekly pipeline updates (SFDC).

 

Reporting / Internal Sales Team

  • Serve as initial contact for internal/external sales team when roadblocks occur with pricing, delivery dates, and availability issues to drive solutions and alternate product offerings

  • Provide “real time” quotes trend data to sales management team and Lamp area managers

  • Identify and drive pricing adjustments and SPA implementation with Lamp area managers, distribution and lamp quotations teams. 

  • Participate in weekly operations call to communicate summary of issues and opportunities for each region. 

  • Lead regularly scheduled region meetings with Current Lamp sales management, quotes, customer service and lamp management teams to ensure alignment on KPIs. 

  • Stock conversion/order opportunities: Secure details from Lamp Area Managers team and develop/present proposals to internal stakeholders for approval.

 

Qualifications:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and Canada without current or future company sponsorship.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience preferred.

  • A minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, or related positions in lighting and controls industry, with a focus on lamps

  • Strong product knowledge of business product portfolio.

  • Experience with quotations, customer service or other inside sales functions. 

  • Strong communication skills required. 

  • Experience working with Current Lighting – distribution, agent and brand experience preferred. 

  • Expert in MS Office tools

  • Power BI knowledge or proven ability to learn complex reporting systems.

  • Analytical ability to review KPI data points and to suggest process or other improvements to grow share shift by region and/or distributor base 

  • SFDC proficiency related to entry, edits, and reporting is preferred. 

  • Proven ability to develop strong internal relationships across functions.

  • Must be able to travel at least 25% of the time and be available on weekends and evenings outside of normal business hours.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and working experience with the lighting distribution ecosystem is preferred.

 

Position Criteria:

  • Strong ability to work together with Commercial leadership team and other leadership team members that support the Commercial team outcome.

  • Exemplary presentation and computer skills; ability to effectively communicate internally and externally.

  • Proven ability to gather and interpret multiple analytics within region and develop solid plans for regional growth.

 

Compensation

This Regional Solutions Specialist – Lamp profession has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (15%), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is (67,653 – 112,754).
