Outside Contractor / Distributor Sales: Washington DC Metro


True Lighting is a leading provider of innovative lighting solutions, committed to transforming spaces and creating exceptional environments. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team in Virginia. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base and driving revenue growth. Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by actively prospecting and generating leads within the assigned territory.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, contractors, interior designers, and other decision-makers in the lighting industry.

  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to educate customers on the benefits and features of True Lighting products.

  • Collaborate with the internal team to develop customized lighting solutions that meet client requirements.

  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales proposals and negotiate contracts to close deals.

  • Meet and exceed sales targets, consistently achieving quarterly and annual revenue goals.

  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction throughout the sales process and beyond.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in outside sales, preferably in the lighting industry or related field.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with diverse clientele.

  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to sales.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaboration skills.

  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads, track progress, and generate reports.

  • Knowledge of lighting technology and industry trends is highly desirable.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
