Specification Sales Representative: Washington DC Metro
We are seeking an experienced Lighting Specification Sales Representative to join our team in the Maryland, DC, and Virginia area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting our lighting products and solutions to architects, engineers, and lighting designers to secure product specifications in the commercial, institutional, and industrial markets. The candidate must have a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers in the lighting industry.
Responsibilities:

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets

Build and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, lighting designers, and other key decision-makers to secure product specifications

Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to customers

Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support as required

Coordinate with manufacturers' representatives to ensure proper product representation in the territory

Attend industry trade shows, events, and conferences to network and promote our products

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and competitive products
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field

5+ years of experience in lighting specification sales

Knowledge of lighting products, industry standards, and building codes

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to travel as required
