Our success is built on a highly collaborative culture in which product management, industrial design, engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing work together to create innovative, practical, and beautifully designed lighting solutions. As Nulite continues to grow and expand its product portfolio, we are seeking an experienced Project/Product Manager to join our team.

The Project/Product Manager will lead cross-functional product-development initiatives from early concept through design, validation, manufacturing launch, and ongoing product lifecycle management. This role is ideal for a design-oriented, technically capable, and highly organized professional with experience managing architectural lighting products for commercial applications.
Working closely with industrial design, engineering, operations, sourcing, manufacturing, sales, and marketing, this individual will translate market and customer needs into clear product requirements and executable development plans. The Project/Product Manager will balance design intent, performance, manufacturability, cost, quality, schedule, and customer value throughout the development process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage architectural lighting product-development projects from concept through commercialization, production launch, and post-launch review.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, milestones, budgets, priorities, and deliverables.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and maintain clear accountability for decisions, action items, risks, and deadlines.
- Translate market insights, customer feedback, design trends, and commercial-space requirements into product briefs and technical requirements.
- Partner closely with industrial designers and engineers to develop products that achieve the desired balance of aesthetics, performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Apply design-for-manufacturing and assembly principles throughout product development to improve quality, simplify production, reduce cost, and support efficient scaling.
- Facilitate design reviews, prototype evaluations, testing, validation, and production-readiness reviews.
- Work with manufacturing, sourcing, and suppliers to address materials, tooling, components, lead times, quality, and production constraints.
- Support product cost targets, business cases, competitive analysis, pricing inputs, and launch recommendations.
- Identify project risks and dependencies early, develop mitigation plans, and communicate issues clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
- Coordinate product-launch requirements with sales and marketing, including product positioning, specifications, samples, training, technical documentation, and launch timing.
- Manage product updates, value-engineering initiatives, line extensions, quality improvements, and product lifecycle decisions.
- Maintain accurate product-development documentation and provide concise, regular progress updates to the Director of Product Management and other stakeholders.
- Help strengthen Nulite’s product-development processes and contribute to the company’s broader product roadmap.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated project management or product management experience involving physical products.
- Experience developing or managing architectural lighting products used in commercial spaces.
- Working knowledge of industrial design and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers while preserving both design intent and practical business requirements.
- Experience applying design-for-manufacturing and assembly principles in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, schedules, and stakeholder groups.
- Strong understanding of the physical-product development lifecycle, including concept development, prototyping, testing, sourcing, manufacturing launch, and ongoing product support.
- Excellent collaboration, facilitation, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across creative, technical, manufacturing, commercial, and executive teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Comfort working in a fast-growing environment where priorities can evolve and team members take initiative.
- Ability to work onsite at Nulite’s Denver facility five days per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with linear, recessed, suspended, surface-mounted, or other specification-grade architectural luminaires.
- Familiarity with LED technology, optics, lighting controls, photometric performance, electrical components, and applicable product-testing or certification processes.
