Regional Sales Director
Flexible - East Coast
Since 2008, we have been the leading global manufacturer of premier light sources, smart building wireless controls, flexible linear lighting systems, drivers and power supplies. With the development of a host of new products including architectural downlights, precision track heads with innovative dynamic color and controls, we look for an aggressive Regional to start and further the Agency channel. Lighting Designers, Architects and any specifiers acknowledge us as the highest quality products on the market.
Looking for a strong, energetic Regional Sales Director in multiple territories. Must have 3+ years of experience working with spec lighting agencies as a Regional, Agency Rep or 3+ years, Inside Sales/customer service. The Specification Agency channel is new and developing. We need someone that can develop key relationships with specifiers and Agency champions to sell tier one products.
The Role:
- Establish sales objectives by creating a sales plan with measured goals.
- Manage a group of independent sales agencies and ensure sales are met or exceeded.
- Be responsible for generating demand for products and identifying business opportunities with reps and within customer base.
- Work closely with other members of the team to ensure full engagement in the entire sales process.
- Keep up to date on product information and industry trends.
- Monitor competitive trends and pressures within territory.
- Ability to design and effectively implement both short-term and long-term business strategies.
- Conducts one-on-one review with all Sales Agents to build more effective communications, set expectations to understand and develop needs, and to provide insights for the improvement of sales.
- Maintains contact with all customers in the territory area to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Get consistent specifier calls with Agents in their territories.
- Train Agents on company products and any updates.
Requirements:
- Minimum years of experience in Specification Lighting working with or as a Rep.
- Existing relationships with Agency Reps.
- Detail-oriented, sensitive to customer needs and company requirements.
- Results oriented with strong business acumen.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to articulate technical data, features and benefits.
- Personable, positive attitude.
- Very strong customer service focus.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work individually and as a team.
- Ability to learn and develop sales strategies that clearly define goals, strategies/tactics, and metrics for measuring success.
- Ability to manage all aspects of the relationship between the customers and industry partners.
- Ability to travel 50–70% within the territory with the balance in the local market.
- Fill calendar with specifier calls with Agency representatives.
- Work regional and national trade shows and events.
