Our New York City showrooms and factory in Brooklyn serve as a key hub for the North American market.
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team in New York City. This role will work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, and Operations to support project execution from purchase order through project completion.
The Project Manager will support sales coordination, customer service project management, and field project coordination. This position serves as a central point of contact to ensure projects are executed efficiently, supporting both internal teams and external partners throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as primary point of contact for projects
- Coordinate between Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Production, and Technical Support teams
- Communicate with sales agents, distributors, contractors, and end users
- Request and review factory drawings and technical documentation
- Review orders, monitor status, and support expediting efforts, provide shipment updates to customers and agencies
- Coordinate project kickoff meetings and perform periodic jobsite visits as required
- Coordinate technical support needs for projects
- Provide sales team regular project updates
- Participate in client meetings (virtual and in person)
- Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, contractors, and partners
- Check stock availability and ensure orders are properly allocated
- Execute and monitor payment terms
- Release and coordinate shipments from factory locations, including drop shipments from FLOS Italy, FLOS Spain, and FLOS USA (Brooklyn)
- Respond to return authorization (RA) requests in accordance with company policy
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the commercial lighting industry (project management, inside sales, or distributor experience preferred)
- Experience managing projects within the New York City marketplace
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience reviewing architectural submittals and shop drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; SAP or other ERP systems preferred
- Bluebeam experience preferred
- Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Technical lighting knowledge or electrical background preferred
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 (based on experience)
Bonus: Management by Objectives (MBO)
