Lighting Partners of Central FL, Inc. is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Specification Sales Representative to join our growing team. As a leading lighting manufacturers rep, we are looking for someone who understands the lighting or construction industry and is passionate about building strong client relationships and driving project-based sales.

This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with architects, engineers, lighting designers, and other key specifiers.

 

Key Responsibilities

Sales Growth & Client Development

  • Build and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, lighting designers, and other specification influencers
  • Identify, develop, and follow up on project opportunities
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations, clearly communicating value and application
  • Entertain clients locally and participate in factory visits as needed
  • Provide ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues

Product Knowledge & Market Expertise

  • Stay current on lighting industry trends, technologies, and innovations
  • Serve as a technical resource to clients, helping guide product selection
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with market needs
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals and performance targets

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal sales, contractor/distributor partners, quotations, and project management teams
  • Participate in trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to expand market presence

 

Qualifications

Experience

  • 2–5 years of sales experience (lighting, construction, or related industry preferred)
  • Experience working with manufacturers, distributors, or design professionals is a plus

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of lighting products and applications (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships and close business
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
