Architectural Lighting Works (ALW) is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead and expand our presence across the Central Midwest. This role represents a pivotal investment in the region and is designed for a senior sales professional who understands the architectural specification market, values long-term relationships, and is motivated by building strategy—not just managing transactions.
This position is ideal for someone currently succeeding as a manufacturer RSM, a top-performing agency sales professional, or a design-centric sales leader who is ready to step into a broader, more influential role. You will be responsible for shaping regional strategy, strengthening agency partnerships, and expanding ALW’s footprint with architects, designers, and engineers across key Midwest markets.

You Responsibilities Will Include…
- Manage all or exceed Regional Sales Budgets
- Travel regularly to ALW's Independent Sales Agents' territory offices to establish rapport, strong communication, and service
- Conduct independent and joint calls on specifiers, GCs, end users, and distributors
- Evaluate Agent Performance, Motivate and Train Sales Personnel, and Hire New Agents when necessary
- Actively engage in promoting the ALW Brand and product awareness through the region
- Serve as a 'voice' of the factory, addressing customer needs from sales to service to field troubleshooting
- Attend trade shows, schedule and participate in product launches to keep clients informed about ALW product offerings and latest developments
- Identify territory trends and customer needs
Your Experience & Qualifications Include…
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Lighting Sales and/or Design-related field
- Prior experience in managing sales territories and conducting joint calls with specifiers, GCs, end users, and distributors
- Proven ability to meet or exceed Regional Sales Budgets
- Experience in evaluating Agent Performance, motivating and training sales personnel, and hiring new agents when necessary
- Regular travel to ALW's Independent Sales Agents' territory offices to establish rapport, strong communication, and service. Must be willing to travel 50-75% of the time.
- Active engagement in promoting the ALW Brand and increasing product awareness throughout the region
- Serve as a 'voice' of the factory, addressing customer needs from sales to service to field troubleshooting
- Participation in trade shows, scheduling and leading product launches to keep clients informed about ALW product offerings and latest developments
- Identification of territory trends and customer needs
- Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external customers at all levels
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment

Compensation: Varies based on factors including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. We offer highly competitive compensation packages that include base salary, quarterly bonus commissions, with uncapped year end potential
Physical Demands
Must have the ability to work in a remote office situation, able to engage all stakeholders when necessary. Should also have adequate visual acuity to examine finished goods and read both printed materials and computer screens. Additionally, must possess the physical strength to lift and transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds. The position may require mobility and travel to various locations within their assigned region, necessitating the use of different transportation modes such as driving, flying, or other means.
