Field Sales / Business Development Manager – Commercial Lighting Controls
Paratus Service Group is a rapidly growing commercial lighting controls integrator with a national footprint and a core specialization in Lutron Lighting Control Systems. We partner with electrical contractors, designers, and end users to deliver high-performance, reliable lighting control solutions across complex commercial environments.
We are seeking a field-based sales professional to drive market development, specification, and revenue growth. This role is designed for someone who understands that success in lighting controls comes from consistent field presence, technical credibility, and disciplined follow-through—not passive account management.

- Serve as the primary commercial sales contact within assigned territories
- Build and maintain strong relationships with electrical contractors, designers, engineers, and end users
- Conduct regular in-person meetings, jobsite visits, and joint sales calls
- Identify new project opportunities and actively drive them through specification and award
- Support partners throughout the full sales cycle—from early design through installation and closeout
Specification & Market Development
- Drive specification of Lutron lighting control solutions on commercial projects
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions for customers and partners
- Participate in design meetings, walkthroughs, and pre-construction reviews to support active projects
- Represent Paratus at industry events, trade shows, and regional market activities
- Develop and execute territory plans focused on growth, coverage, and key verticals
Sales Execution & Internal Collaboration
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, forecasting, and opportunity tracking
- Provide real-time market feedback, competitive insights, and customer intelligence to leadership
- Collaborate with project management, engineering, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless handoff
- Maintain disciplined follow-up to ensure opportunities move forward and commitments are met
- Travel extensively within assigned regions to maintain strong field presence

- Working knowledge of Lutron systems or similar commercial control platforms (strongly preferred)
- Confidence engaging with contractors, designers, engineers, and owner representatives
- Strong organizational skills with a structured, pipeline-driven approach to sales
- A self-directed mindset with high standards for accountability and execution
- Experience in design-build, commercial construction, or capital equipment sales is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary
- Uncapped, performance-based commission structure
- Benefits package including paid time off, sick leave, travel support, and healthcare reimbursement
