Regional Sales Manager: Mid West U.S.


The ideal candidate is a motivated, well-organized individual who has a deep understanding of prospecting and developing strong relationships with customers within the architectural lighting / specifications market.

The function of the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is to represent the company and its products to the assigned territory while providing direct support to the territory independent Sales Representatives in the ongoing development of existing and prospective customers to ensure that the company is able to meet its growth targets. RSM’s report directly to the National Sales Manager (NSM)

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

The following are principal duties of the RSM include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive business in new and existing markets

  • Oversee all assigned sales activities in the company in the assigned region

  • Supervise and support outside independent sales representatives within territory

  • Call on lighting designers and specifiers in assigned territory

  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner

  • Work with all personnel and outside contacts to satisfy clients and achieve company goals

  • Identify areas of improvement in the company and assist in creating and implementing solutions

  • Report weekly sales activities and market intelligence via company CRM rep reporting function

  • Answer incoming phone calls from customers and sales reps to assist in their project support needs

  • Forecast sales via company CRM and achieve monthly sales targets for assigned region

  • Prospect new opportunities in assigned territory and drive potential customers to our sales showrooms

  • Update CRM project requests including adds, deletes, and changes and ensure Sales representatives input their customer visit reports regularly

  • Collecting and reporting post sales customer information and issues to the after sales support team

  • Become an expert to the companies products and processes

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years' of sales experience within the architectural lighting market

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Positive attitude, exemplary attendance, and reliable team member

  • Mid West Territory Annual Performance review / evaluation based on achieving the above requirements

  • Travel within territory no less than 10 working days per month plus tradeshows and events as required

  • Location – Remote via home office or traveling within region. (hours flexible based on travel and approval by NSM)
