LOS ANGELES, CA – CSL Lighting (CSL), a California based LED downlighting innovator, announced today the addition of the new CSL WhisperTM to its growing line of popular recessed lighting products.
The impossibly small CSL Whisper is a unique ½” trimless downlight that delivers 1100 lumens of exceptionally low glare light from a footprint smaller than a dime – drawing your eye to the thoughtfully designed space, not the ceiling. The proprietary SilentVuTM optic technology delivers beautiful, precision-controlled 30o or 50o accurate beams of light that accentuate design and nearly eliminate glare, reducing eye strain and improving occupant visual comfort.
CSL Whisper offers broad flexibility for new construction and remodel projects and fits the shallowest of plenums, requiring as little as 2 1/2” of clearance above the ceiling. High performance dimming driver technology from industry leaders like EldoLED and Lutron® enables the CSL Whisper to integrate seamlessly into today’s preferred architectural and smart IoT lighting control systems.

Meet the CSL Whisper
This 1100 lumen downlight uses a 90 CRI, 2-Step SDCM Cree® LED, available in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K color temperatures. Both 30o and 50o SilentVu optics are included with every downlight. The CSL Whisper ships quickly from CSL’s California facility, with either a standard integral or remote universal dimming 120V/277V driver that provides 0-10V, TRIAC, and ELV 1% dimming control. High performance 0.1% dimming from EldoLED and Lutron Hi-Lume 1% TRIAC and EcoSystem® dimming driver offerings are also available. Performance and safety ratings include UL, Wet Location, IC, Airtight, Energy Star, and CA Title 24-JA8 listings.
