Cree Lighting to Leave North Carolina

Company offers 33 employees relocation to Racine, Wisconsin

Cree Lighting, an Ideal Industries company, will be shutting down its Durham, NC facility. The Company will begin closing the facility on March 26, 2021 and will separate from most employees at that time – unless the employee is eligible to relocate to Cree Lighting's Racine, WI location and chooses to do so.

According to Cree's notice to the State of North Carolina, "44 employees will be separated from employment. Based on specific skill sets and the needs within our Wisconsin facility, 33 employees will have an opportunity to relocate to Wisconsin. If they do not wish to relocate, their employment will also be terminated."
