Chuck Swoboda's New CEO Role
Chuck Swoboda, the long-time Chairman & CEO of Cree, left the company in 2017 and has since been involved in many independent professional projects.
Swoboda will be a keynote speaker at the upcoming U.S. Department of Energy 18th Annual Lighting R&D Workshop, February 1–4, 2021.
On LinkedIn this week, Swoboda announced that he has joined Vast Therapeutics as President & CEO. He describes the company as "a preclinical stage biotechnology company." His announcement is below.
Lighting Connection
Swoboda will succeed Vast Therapeutics CEO Neal Hunter -- which is a familiar happening. In 2001, when Cree appointed Swoboda as CEO, he succeeded Neal Hunter. In 2005, when Cree appointed Swoboda as Chairman of the Board, he succeeded Neal Hunter.
