Acuity Brands to Close Midwest Plant

2020 11 Acuity Brands closes Fishers indiana plant.jpg

When Acuity Brands acquired Juno Lighting Group in 2015, one of the manufacturing plants that came along with the acquisition was the Fishers, Indiana facility.

The company assembles three brands in Fishers including Indy luminaries. Some of the products made there include downlights, adjustables and wall-wash fixtures, decorative high bays, sign lighting, cylinders, retrofits and multi-lamp fixtures.

A source from Acuity tells us that those products are not going away and that the assembly of those products are moving to another plant.

Approximately 150 individuals will be laid off over a 3-month period beginning with 34 layoffs in January.  Affected employees include IBEW union workers.
