Location: Somewhere between Wrigley Field and deep dish heaven (aka must live in the Chicago area)

 

About Us:

We’re a company on a mission to outshine the competition – literally. Our lighting solutions brighten spaces, and we need someone who can brighten our sales chart. We’re growing fast, and we need a Regional Sales Manager who knows the lighting distribution world like the back of their hand (or at least like the bottom of a lighting fixture).

 

The Role (aka Why You’ll Need Comfortable Shoes):

You’ll be the master of the Midwest (Chicago territory), partnering with Rep agencies, charming distributors, and making sure everyone knows that we’re the brightest bulb in the box. You’ll execute our sales strategy, nurture relationships, and keep our revenue glowing. This isn’t your average 9-5. It’s sales with sparkle.

 

You’ll Be Doing Things Like:
  • Managing our rep agencies like a pro (or a benevolent sales overlord).
  • Building a distributor pipeline so strong, it might qualify for city infrastructure funding.
  • Driving sales growth, developing strategy, and occasionally dazzling people with your lighting puns.
  • Visiting customers, presenting solutions, closing deals, and avoiding bad coffee at trade shows.
  • Reporting performance metrics like you actually enjoy spreadsheets.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and pretending you like group Zoom calls.

 

You Must Bring:
A strong background in lighting distribution sales (if you don’t know what a linear LED is, this probably isn’t the gig for you).
At least a few years of experience actually selling stuff in this industry – successfully.
A Chicago zip code and a decent winter coat.
A track record of building relationships and exceeding sales goals – bonus points if you’ve ever sold lightbulbs in a snowstorm.
Charisma, grit, and a love for the words “quota exceeded.”

 

Bonus Points If You:
  • Have a rep network in your contacts and not just on LinkedIn.
  • Use phrases like “channel strategy” without rolling your eyes.
  • Have mastered the art of small talk while waiting for your booth to be set up at a trade show.
