Job Summary:
Aleo Lighting is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to drive sales growth and expand market share within a designated territory. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, cultivating strong relationships with distributors, agents, and key customers, and promoting Aleo Lighting's advanced LED products and control solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the lighting industry, strong technical aptitude, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets; with project management and operational experience when managing and working within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed regional sales quotas for Aleo Lighting's full range of LED products and control solutions.
- Identify, recruit, train, and manage a network of independent sales representatives and distributors within the assigned territory.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts, electrical distributors, lighting specifiers, contractors, and end-users.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for customers and partners.
- Provide technical support and product expertise to assist customers in selecting appropriate lighting solutions for their projects, energy efficiency and advanced controls.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and provide valuable feedback to product development and marketing teams.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and analyses for regional performance.
- Identify and attend National, Regional or Local industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote Aleo Lighting and generate leads.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Manage pricing, quotations, and contract negotiations to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and ethical standards.
Minimum Prerequisites:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive sales experience in the lighting industry, with a strong emphasis on LED products and lighting controls.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets in a regional sales management role.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies and plans.
- Strong understanding of lighting applications, energy efficiency principles, and lighting control systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region (up to 50-75% travel required).
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Hubspot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with independent sales agencies and electrical distributors.
- Existing network of contacts within the commercial or industrial lighting market in the assigned region.
- Certifications related to lighting (e.g., LC, LEED AP).
