ICT Support Engineer

As an ICT Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the functionality, security, and efficiency of our organization’s IT infrastructure. You will provide responsive technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and contribute to the overall IT operational excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities

Hardware & Software Support

  • Set up and configure client devices using Microsoft Intune, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues, software malfunctions, and networking problems.
  • Maintain patch cabinets, routers, switches, and hubs.
  • Proactively monitor and manage client devices via Intune, addressing vulnerabilities as they arise.
  • Provide support for the Microsoft 365 environment, including Teams, SharePoint, Azure, Intune, and Defender.
  • Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation and system management tasks.

 

Helpdesk & User Support

  • Efficiently manage and prioritize IT support tickets using the company’s ticketing system.
  • Respond promptly to support requests, delivering on-site and remote assistance as needed.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Deliver end-user training on software applications and IT best practices.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of common issues and solutions.
  • Document incidents, solutions, and system changes accurately.
  • Provide excellent customer service with a user-first mindset

 

Security Monitoring

  • Monitor systems for security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Apply and maintain IT security protocols and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the security team to resolve threats and maintain a secure IT environment.

 

Network Management

  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Monitor and ensure stable network connectivity and performance.
  • Work with network administrators to enhance and optimize network infrastructure.

 

Required Experience & Skills
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a similar ICT support role.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of IT hardware, software, and networking principles.
  • Tools & Platforms: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, PowerShell, and remote support tools such as Teams and TeamViewer.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with users at all levels, providing clear guidance and support.
  • Time Management: Able to prioritize tasks, manage workloads, and meet deadlines.
  • Mindset: Self-driven, eager to learn, results-oriented, and resilient.
  • Travel: Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time.
