Project Manager

Summary
We are looking for an experienced lighting professional to join our sales team for inside sales support, project management and field project management. Key responsibility will be tracking and managing projects from RFQ to project completion being the point person for the overall process for completing a job smoothly.
Key accountabilities include:
- The position will be a role between our sales team and customer service team, working closely with both sides as well as our technical support, engineering, drafting and production team.
- Communicating with sales agent, distributors and contractors, answering questions and offering support.
- Overseeing and supporting RFQs, helping with large or last-minute take-offs where needed.
- Preparing submittal packages, request factory drawings as needed.
- Comparing purchase orders to the respective quotes and shop drawings for accuracy and noting and addressing any discrepancies.
- Order processing, order follow-up and expediting. Resolve concerns of both vendors and customers when issues arise.
- Field project management arranging kickoff meetings in the field and checking in periodically in person.
- Coordinating any technical support needs.
- Creating and track reports on product improvements based on contractor and field feedback.
- Providing sales support internally to sales manager.
- Coordinating any customization between the sales manager and engineering team.
- Maintain and build new customer base such as distributors and contractors.
- Participate in professional network and sales events.
- Maintain CRM system and provide accurate sales forecasts.
Job Requirements:
- At least three years’ experience in the commercial lighting industry as a project manager/inside sales role ideally with a distributor.
- Experience as job site PM in New York City marketplace.
- Individual must be highly organized and results oriented, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment that is focused on growth, while adhering to the policies and procedures that have been established by our organization.
- Must present a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Expertise with Outlook, Excel, as well as the flexibility to learn and utilize in-house ERP software.
- Experience in reviewing quotes, creating submittal packages and processing purchase orders.
- Strong customer service and sales skills in person and on the phone.
- Work well in a team environment and truly care about making a positive contribution.
- Ideal background will include field technical support or electrical knowledge.

In this role, you will be responsible for the New York City territory. The goal of the role is to increase and maintain sales in the territory through sales support, project management and field project management.
Compensation consists of:
- Annual base salary range $75,000 - $90,000 based on experience
- A bonus based on performance
