VP, Sales and Marketing

The Vice President, Sales and Marketing is responsible for the overall sales and marketing of all Hapco pole products. The position manages and directs, Regional Sales Managers, Marketing Managers, and Inside Sales Managers. The position is responsible for setting and achieving annual sales goals and sales growth targets, plus ensuring all products are priced to produce corporate profit and market competitiveness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and coordinate HAPCO sales and marketing functions.
- Direct and manage Sales Managers in accordance with established policies and procedures to achieve corporate sales and profit goals. Assist Sales Managers in growing sales of Hapco products and maintain involvement with major accounts to establish long term relationships.
- Identify and meet regularly with key customers.
- Manage and direct:
- Customer service and order entry activities.
- Inside sales and develop pricing structures.
- HAPCO marketing to maximize customer communications and sales.
- Develop sales strategies to secure new accounts and new market applications to ensure continued growth of sales and profits.
- Maintain a system with regular follow up on quotes and reports quarterly.
- Provide leadership to the entire Sales and Marketing team to ensure a positive work environment.
- Work effectively with others in a team-based environment to accomplish company goals and to identify and resolve problems.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
- Comply with all company rules, safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to continually prioritize tasks to be completed as requires.
- Self-starter and multi-task oriented. Able to work independently, as-well-as with others, as needed.
- Work effectively to identify and resolve problems or issues.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of sales and marketing specialization. Successfully applies knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures while demonstrating knowledge of organizations business practices and issues. Manages subordinate managers who supervise employees; is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these departments.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The Vice President of Sales & Marketing must have 5-10 years of sales or Director/Manager of Sales experience in a company's particular industry or market. Must have a bachelor's or master's degree in a field such as marketing; business administration; related experience or equivalent with customer service or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must possess the ability to communicate effectively utilizing methods to include, but not limited to verbal conversations, email communications, meetings, telephone conversations, video conferencing, etc. plus in one-on-one or group situations with customers or employees of the organization. Ability to apply common sense understanding necessary to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form with the ability to deal with problems involving several variables in various situations.
